Front Pages Of the World

  1. What is your favorite newspaper front page? Why? 
  2. What is your favorite headline from that newspaper? Why are you interested in it? 
  3. How many stories are on the front page of your favorite? 
  4. What do you notice that all newspaper front pages have in common? Look at design, size of photos, size of story text, etc.
  5. What are things that vary (or are different) on the front pages of different newspapers? Look at design, size of photos, size of headlines, etc. 
When you are done  — we will be looking at The Eagle's Eye newspaper and taking some notes about items found in newspapers. Once we are done with that, you will start your next project using the instructions below.
When you are done reviewing the newspapers, find the folder in your student folder titled "Newspaper  Front Page Design Files." Start by opening the PDF titled "Newspaper Front Page Design Directions." You will be designing your own front page using the materials provided in your folder. Follow the directions and create your Front Page in the InDesign file titled "Front and Inside Page."

1.     What qualities should student of the month possess?
Nice, Hardworking, Organzied 
2.     What is your strongest quality?
Really organized when its school related  
3.     Why should you have the student of the month title?
Hardworking and tries to keep grades as high as possible, and loves school.  
4.     Do you feel as though this experience will encourage you to receive more awards?
Yes  
5.     What’s the most difficult expectation that comes along with the award?
Having to stay after class, not slack off, and staying focused  
6.     What do you struggle with the most in school?
Making friends because of shyness  
7.     How did you earn STM?
working hard, getting everything done on time, being a good help to teachers & peers  
8.     How does getting this award make you feel?
flattered and happy  
9.     How many times have you been student of the month?
Once  
10. What kinds of grades do you make in school?
generally all A's with the exception of one or two high B's.  
11. Did you ever think you would be Student of the Month?
No I didn't  
12. Do teachers treat you differently with your new title?
 No 
13. What are he rewards of being student of the month?
Free day in elective classes, lunch from the nominating teacher  
14. How does this make your parents feel?
Proud of me  
15. Would you qualify yourself as a role model?
It depends on who the role model is to, then yes.  
16. Are you going to try to be student of the month again?
Not focus on it, but if it happens again, I will be happy
 17. If elected again, what would you do differently the net time around?
Keep up the hard work I am already doing.
 18. What advice would you give someone wanting to be student of the month?
Focus on school, don't get involved with drama and little stuff in school, take time to study and do homework at home.  
19. What other awards have you received this school year?
Trustee Award for being in the top 10% Freshman class  
20. Are there any teachers that helped you get to where you are?
Mr. Ashlock,  Mr. Hayes, and Mr. Fintcher have all been wonderful and helpful this year.
